The Old Town, Aarhus, Denmark

Days are busy with photo sessions at the moment, which means less time to blog. So I´ll keep my words short today.

I want to show you some pictures I took in The Old Town last week. The old town is located in the city center of my hometown Aarhus. Most of the houses are from 1800 and this is what the houses looked liked back in the days when the famous poet Hans Christian Andersen wrote his masterpieces.

Personally I love the colors of the tilted houses as well as the cosy charm. I especially like to go there early mornings or late evenings – then I almost have the place to my self. I always leave feeling inspired.

This time my friend D went with me and of course we went a little instagram crazy too…

What a cute place!!! I love the vibran effect the white snow has on the colorful buildings and houses!

I´m so happy to hear you had a great time in Aarhus – Even if it´s the coldest time a year :-)

Oh my goodness Christina, this is so beautiful. I am amazed! The colours, the compositions.. aaah heavenly!

Can I ask, is this part of the town no longer used? It looks so perfect and quiet, like ghostly but in a beautiful way…

Thank you Olivia. The town is a museum today and during the day you can see some of the houses from the inside. It´s very cosy :-)

Wonderfully preserved heritage. History of the city must be equally interesting I guess.
