Last week I had the honor of visiting a little piece of heaven. Invited by a dear friend of mine, we took of to have a bit of fun, and some well deserved rest.
Falsled is a gourmet restaurant and inn in Denmark. Located outside the town of Fåborg, Falsled Kro is one of Denmark’s finest gourmet inns. Once a 16th-century smuggler’s inn, it is now a premiere Relais & Châteaux property, nestled in the beautiful, peaceful Danish countryside on the Island Fyn.
The inn is famous for its gourmet dining experience. The chef, Per and his great team, prepares a French-style cuisine using local ingredients from the area.
The service is exquisite, from arrival to the sad farewell. The only thing I was missing was green leaves on the trees. Even though the weather has changed lately and we are able to enjoy some lovely spring weather, the danish trees are still naked. Hopefully within the next two weeks that will change dramatically
I love exploring little cosy corners of my country, since I did not see much of it as a child. Next month I´m going to the Island of Møn to visit friends and in June I´m taking Mr.dj on a retreat to the Island of Fanø. Both places have such stunning nature and history. Can´t wait!
