Having a Cohesive Instagram Grid is So Last Year

Haven’t found your personal photography style yet? Don’t worry about it. Enjoy that you’re still learning and discovering who you are. Enjoy that you’re in a process of experimenting. You’re free to be playful and free to test new things every day.

The more you work on your craft the closer you’ll get to developing your own significant style. Don’t rush. Don’t stress. Embrace the journey because you can’t force it anyway.

Finding your personal photography style is a process. And once you find it, you will enjoy it for some time, and then suddenly one day, you will feel a need to change it or tweak it – because YOU have changed. It´s part of the growth process. And it’s okay.

When you find your personal style be careful not to get stuck in cohesive-land. Spread your creative wings because having a cohesive IG grid is so last year.

As creatives we are bombarded with with scarcity, that you won’t get followers if your Instagram Feed doesn’t have a strong and instantly recognizable aesthetic.

But what’s even more important is to never let your creativity be controlled by such limited thinking.

I’m not saying that style doesn´t matter, but I meet too many photographers that are stuck in a creative rut, because they feel or believe that they have to stick with the current style of their Instagram feed.

So let me remind you that you don´t have to follow a specific style trend – it get´s so easily boring! Setting yourself free to be playful and allowing yourself to make mistakes are much more important than you limiting yourself because your photo does not fit in with the grid.

Focus on having FUN and create what your heart desires. It will make the artist within you bloom and shine without hesitation. You´re the boss. You can do exactly what you want with your photography.
