Perfection VS Simplify

What areas of your life do you need to simplify? As a mom of five (3 kids and 2 dogs) and as a full-time business owner my daily life will quickly turn into a crazy busy circus if I’m not mindful. I don’t thrive in chaos. I need a slow steady rhythm, structure and quiet time to focus and be fully present. The older I’ve become the more I understand that I can’t do it all and that doing it all will not make you happy just exhausted. ⠀⠀

Today, I start each day with an intention to do just ONE thing well. I got one big task or goal a day that is super important to me. And I eat that frog first thing in the day. I find that by doing so things are automatically set into perspective. It clears out my mental clutter and I feel super focused. ⠀⠀

I can never say this enough; simplify the heck out of your life, and you’ll be a much happier person! Think about it; where in your life do you need less drama and less pressure?
⠀⠀
The best way to quiet your mind is to simplify your life. When your mind is quiet, you can work on the big things. Focus on things that really matter, like your goals, health, giving back, your passions, hobbies, and quality relationships with your loved ones. ⠀⠀

To simplify, ask yourself what in your life you can delete, delegate, remove, say no to or take immediate action on. Remember, it’s always better to keep things simple and flexible rather than chase perfection.
⠀⠀
So looking at your schedule and plans today what can you simplify? Is there anything you need to let go of or make less perfect to get it done?

Stuck In A Creative Rut?

Let’s talk creativity. Sometimes it can feel like you’re stuck in a creative rut and it’s hard to know how to get out of it. You start to question what you’re doing, whether you’re good enough and talented enough. You might even feel empty and lack inspiration to do anything new.

We all feel like this from time to time so this is normal. To awaken your inner creative genius, you must take time to listen to your true desires. This is key! Try what you want to try, go where you want to go, and follow your intuition. If it feels right take a chance. ⠀⠀

Don’t let others put a cage around your ideas. Don’t let the negative opinions or actions of others burn out your passion. Nothing makes your soul feel better than the warmth of the inner fire …the creative fire burning inside of you. ⠀⠀

Your creativity blooms when you trust your ideas and allow yourself to experiment. Your creative mind will be the most happy when you play, celebrate and have fun. ⠀⠀
You gotta prioritize playfulness and slowdown time to explore the little joys in life. You gotta give up the desire to be perfect in the eyes of others, and embrace you becoming your true self. ⠀⠀

So follow your passion and let your creativity flow freely. Because what you love to do determines your dreams, your dreams determine your actions, and your actions determine your future 💗

Dark & Moody Flowers

I have this memory from childhood, about the first cold autumn day after summer. I’d walk out into my grandparents magical garden and there I’d find flowers drying to various shades of dusty green, grey, sepia, and dark crunchy brown. I loved touching these flowers. With the tip of my fingers I could explore so many different textures.
⠀⠀
While breathing in the chilly Scandinavian air, I realized that summer had ended. Change was coming. And then suddenly, in the back of the garden behind the English roses I spotted there to be ONE last flower still full of color and summer warmth. It was a delicate pink flower standing tall and proud.
⠀⠀
This flower wasn’t afraid of the season changing. It wasn’t sad that summer ended. It just stood there shining like a star with no worries at all. For a moment I felt the strength of this flower entering my soul.
⠀⠀
For the first time in my life I understood that being sensitive and fragile doesn’t mean that you are weak or that you easily break when life is changing. Sensitivity isn’t weakness; it’s a superpower, it helps you feel every single moment intensely and passionately. And for that I’m forever grateful🙏🏻
