When I stay at my second home in the northernmost part of Denmark, one of my favorite activities is to explore the beautiful area and it´s history. I´ve only been a resident in this small seaside town for a little over a year, so I´m still discovering new things, hidden gems stunning landscapes and friendly locals.
One of the places I´ve fallen in love with is “Anchers Home” a former residence of the famous painters Michael and Anna Ancher. They were both central figures in the artist colony of Skagen Painters who lived and worked in the town during late 19th and early 20th century. The house is still standing exactly as it did when the couple lived there so many years ago.
